About Us

Formed with a simple goal, to create a small business committed to providing clients with personalized service, Christine Overstreet founded Overstreet Events & PR in 2000.  Christine has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry working with top brands and the PR executives at OEMs, and the media they cater to. In order to run Overstreet Events & PR as efficiently as possible to the benefit of their clients, Christine oversees the day to day operations while bringing in seasoned and proven event specialists for the creation and execution of programs designed specifically to match clients goals and strategies. Keeping the overhead costs low, Overstreet Events & PR assesses each program from the start, and brings in the top staff to brainstorm, strategize and execute the best events in the business.

Despite working with many automotive manufacturers, Overstreet Events & PR recognizes that no matter the industry, no two businesses are identical. What has worked for another business, even similar ones, may not be best for your company and every client is evaluated by our experienced team for their unique position in the marketplace.

Heels & Wheels

As an experienced member of the automotive industry, Christine noticed a gap in events designed to bring together the many women in a male-dominated industry and formed an all-women’s automotive group, Heels & Wheels (www.heels-and-wheels.com). In addition to running her regular business and managing clients, Christine assembles an event from the ground up to bring women together in a forum where they test vehicles, host round table discussions and hear from women who have been successful in the industry. These events are held every other year in various destinations and have grown to include an average of 20 journalists, 12 manufacturers and 12 – 16 cars.

Christine Overstreet

Founder and Principal Operator

Christine began her event career in 1994 as an onsite Maritz event planner at Nissan where she oversaw dealer training programs, and continued similar work with Dick Clark Productions for Lexus working on their National Dealer Meeting. In 1997 she began work for a Southern California integrated marketing agency on their Kia Motors America PR account. While at their agency of record for three years Christine managed their day-to-day PR business including press releases, media relations, events and publicity for Kia’s off-road race team. Positioned with a freelance opportunity, she left the agency life to work full time on publicity for a team racing the Paris Dakar rally, including traveling through the race series. After the completion of that project, Christine decided to start her own consulting business and was quickly able to secure clients such as Hyundai, Spike TV, Honda, General Motors, and the Western Automotive Journalist group in addition to others.

In 2005, Christine was offered a position in house with Jaguar/Land Rover North America. She accepted the position to gain luxury brand experience on a global level, and over the next three years, she managed the product PR for Land Rover including press kits, releases, media relations, product launches and press conferences.

After Land Rover was sold and a company wide relocation imminent, Christine chose to return to freelance and officially started Overstreet Events & PR.
